Welcome to Beautiful Meath. We came into existence because of the passion of one man, Derek Smith, to promote his beloved County Meath and Ireland as a whole.
Ireland has an abundance of historical sites dating back over 8000 years. Megalithic, Neolithic, Stone Age, Bronze Age, Monasteries, Castles and scenic views. One of the most visited sites is Bru na Boinne, Newgrange which is one of only two UNESCO World Heritage sites in Ireland.
There are plenty more neolithic and Megalithic sites also, such as Knowth, Loughcrew Cairns and Fourknocks. We have Trim Castle, the largest Anglo Norman castle in Ireland dating back to 1176. The Castle was also the location of the movie Braveheart, starring Mel Gibson in 1994.
